Since I started to write about Scott Barden's mural in Bath Road we've seen more examples of the fiery Bristolian temperment in Stoke's Croft. The parallels between the police/hussars are, of course, compelling. A bunch of out of town uniforms bussed in for a bust up, in both cases...though the hussars were admittedly better dressed.
That sense of independence Bristol people feel, that need to assert themselves from time to time, that separation of local authority from what people are really thinking...
